SonLight Daily Devotional Daily Devotional for May 13

Psalm 122:1 "I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord."

The truly born again, on fire Christian loves to go to church each time the church is opened. They sit and receive the Bread of Life. They are at church to receive a blessing from God Almighty; they are excited to hear what their Pastor/Teacher is going to share. They may even sit on the edge of their seat with their eyes and ears fixed upon the preacher, as the Word of God goes out forth. Eating and drinking each word of life as it ministers to their soul and spirit. They drink it in as the dry land in the summer time drinks the showers of rain into the soil.

These Christians may be going through a rough time, but they know where they can get a cold drink of water in the time of need. They are happy that they went to church, as the soul and spirit is being refreshed by the living Word of God. They sing praises to God, and their soul and spirit gets flooded with liquid waves of love. They are overjoyed in the presence of the Lord.

They learn doctrine (how God thinks); and obey the Book. They are busy loving God as well as themselves. They are always looking forward to the next meeting or the next rap. They are looking to the Author and Finisher of their faith; Jesus Christ their Lord.

They are prayer warriors, always with thoughts of other's needs. Christianity is alive and well in their lives. They know quite well where they will be the second of death; in the everlasting arms of Christ Jesus. They are glad to be a servant of the Lord.
