Hear My voice
Daily Devotional for May 17

John 10:27 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me."

There are only two voices mankind can follow. One is God's voice, the other satan's voice. Who's voice are you following this very day?

Most likely today if you are reading this daily devotion, you are at least trying to listen to God's voice. You are walking in the faith; the total system of how God thinks. Active faith produces active life, so our Lord's voice is not strange to us.

One day, we had been driving along until we came to an intersection where a stoplight was. The light was green at that time. The still small voice said STOP the car. Just then another car ran the red light. There would have been a terrible accident if we had not obeyed the still small voice. This was not a subjective voice, but an objective voice full of compassion towards us. We thanked the Lord at that very moment, for we know that His warning to stop was His gift to us that day.

Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever"

We all know that God speaks through His word daily when we are reading it. Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice". His sweet voice that brings great comfort to us all says, "Come unto me all that labor and are heavy laden. I will give you rest". Our Lord is always speaking to the ones he loves. He says, "I am with you always, even unto the end of the world" in Matthew 28:20. We will speak with Him in heaven as He can speak to us here on earth.

Hear His still small voice saying, "I love you. You must be born again".
