2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Christians are commanded to study the word of God continuously; day in and day out. A good way to study the word of God is by attending a Bible College, taking Bible classes by way of video tapes, or maybe just by tapes in your home. You may take notes at church and study them later at home. That will be a help.

If you live in the sin of false pride you will quote 1 John 2:27 "But the anointing which you have received of Him abideth in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, you shall abide in Him". The truth of the matter is you will not quote Ephesians 4:11-12 "And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastor/teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ".

We are to learn precept upon precept, line upon line. Not just the verses that we like to quote. Study the Word of God daily. Get hid in the body of Christ so you can grow in grace. Sit under one Pastor/Teacher that preaches the whole word of God in grace and in the finished work.

The second that studying the word of God becomes a burden in one's life you can bet that satan has been at work. Keep yourself in love with the Lord. Say to yourself "Jesus loves me". Remember to keep our Lord personal in your life. We serve a living God who loves for His children to study His word.
