Please do not be offended
Daily Devotional for May 19

Psalm 119:165 "Great peace have they which love Thy law: and nothing shall offend them."
Are you one that gets easily offended at the drop of a hat? Do you wear your feelings and emotions on your sleeve? When the Pastor preaches the Word of God are you offended by it? At the workplace are you offended at the people you work with? When you drive your car do you get offended at other drivers? Does your spouse easily offend you? When you go to the store and have to stand in line do you get offended by the slowness of the cashier?
These are just simple everyday life occurrences put forth by God to test us. We already know that we should not get offended; but if we do not put on the whole armor of God, satan will attack us. Satan does not want Christians to be at peace. He wants them to be offended so that they will take their eyes off our Lord Christ Jesus and put them on people, or things.
We must get up in the morning, and "Put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make not provision for the flesh" Romans 13:14. Our thought should be on the Word of God continually. We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit each moment of the day. We should have a song of grace within our soul and spirit. When we are doing these above mentioned acts of faith we will not be easily offended. Christ Jesus will be feeding us the bread of life; happy we will be.
Look to Jesus Christ our Lord if someone should offend you. The only thing we will have between us will be the cross. The peace of the cross will be our abiding place so when the offenses come we will be hid with Christ in God.
