Open the Door
Daily Devotional for May 24

Revelation 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: If any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me."

Christ Jesus is standing; knocking at the heart, soul and spirit of each man and woman living on this planet at this very moment. He is asking the question "Will you let me in?" The choice is always ours, for God has given us all a free will to decide if we will let Him in.

The unsaved are deaf to His voice because of pride. The backslidden, carnal, Laodician have become deaf because of lack of meditation on His words.

The car needs gas to run the engine. The Christian needs to meditate on the living Word of God each day, for this is his fuel that keeps him going. The car without gas will go nowhere. The Christian without meditation on the Word of God becomes stuck in yesterday's thoughts. Yesterday's thoughts are about as useful as yesterday's sunshine. Christians need the freshness of the Holy Spirit today.

We serve a living Saviour today,
Our meditation is on the Word of God today.
Our prayers are full of God's mercy today,
Love of God is shed abroad in our hearts today.
We all have just this one day; today,
His grace is sufficient for today.
We live in the power of His resurrection today,
Jesus is standing at the door today.

The choice will be yours today.

Christ Jesus is standing at the door of your heart today. Will you let Him in to save you, comfort you, change you, to heal you this very day?
