Hebrews 12:15 "Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled."

Bitterness walks into the sweetest day and turns it gray. Bitterness has no purpose in the kingdom of God. Bitterness in the garden of life turns the flowers of joy to dust. Bitterness in the home sours the happiness of marriage. Bitterness in the Church destroys the moving hand of God. Bitterness is a brother to anger. Bitterness feeds on the ashes of defeat and spits out the drunkenness of hate. Bitterness destroys the best of friendships.

Ephesians 4:31 "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice."

No Christian has excuse to be bitter against anyone, because bitterness has no forgiveness in it. The Christian is to forgive as Christ Jesus has forgiven them.

The devil loves it when a brother or sister in Christ turns bitter against a work of God. Satan can use that Christian to cause all kinds of trouble within that ministry. The so-called Christian, because of a lying spirit of bitterness, will leave a ministry with their mouth spitting out all kinds of hateful accusations. Bitterness is sin, and needs to be dealt with at the cross at once.

Do you want to be free from bitterness? Come to Jesus and ask Him to forgive you now. If you are not born again you need to come to Jesus now, and ask Him to be your Saviour today.
