Love one another
Pastor's
Thoughts for May 2003
![]()
Love will always keep us from quitting when life's battles are raging. Love is the force behind the staying power that keeps us from turning back into worldly thinking when finances are going south; when marriage seems dark and dreary; when life seems like sour milk.
Love has the capacity to think in hope, to find goodness in times of trouble. We know love never fails as we abide in His words that teach us to love one another as He has loved us. Love always goes beyond self needs and self desires, reaching out to give others a helping hand and a drink of water in Christ Jesus name.
Love will always smooth out the roughest character, just as running water will smooth the roughest stone over a period of time.
Love will always be thinking the best, knowing greater is He in us than he that is in the world. Love has answers to all the hard questions of life. Don't quit, and don't turn back; but keep looking, and following Christ Jesus our Lord.
Love took Jesus to the cross to die for all our sins, so that now we call upon the God our Father freely. Love has made us hearers of God's holy word. Love has made us sharers of the gospel's good news. Love's blood has washed all our sins away. Love is building new character into our lives. Love has made us alive to the still small voice of God that is saying, "Follow Me". Love has made us far more than conquerors, living a life that will not be defeated; for we are hid in Christ Jesus eternal love.
Love is with us 24/7 bearing all things, hoping all things, enduring all things. Love is God's fertilizer that makes all things grow; it enriches the soul and spirit with all of God's words. Love is given; just learn to receive it, bathe in it, take it in as you would the pleasant sunlight of a summer's day.
Love is Calvary's cross that our Lord Jesus
Christ died upon so heaven will be our home. As Paul learned that God's love
never fails, so please let us also learn to love one another.
May we all pray for
the Lord's active love to be our premise.
