The wrong wife will turn you from God
Daily Devotional for November 3

1 Kings 11:4 "For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father."

Seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines; Solomon must have had overactive libido waves.

Solomon disobeyed God's laws. He had a blind spot in this area of his life, causing him not to walk before God with a perfect heart. God gave Solomon wisdom above all that ever lived, but when it came to women he was dumber than an ox.

Deuteronomy 17:17 "Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold."

Lust of the eyes has destroyed many a marriage. Both men and women have this problem.

Matthew 5:28 "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."

We live in a country where lust sells. The bottom line is money. The same lust patterns are happening around the world, for money runs the train.

Unsaved people live in this spirit and do not know it, for satan has blinded their minds to the truth. Saved people had better not live in lust patterns, for lust hurts the heart of God.

Keep your eyes at home. Then satan can not take advantage of you.
