Daily Devotional for November 8

Proverbs 16:18 "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall."

Psalm 10:4 "The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts."

People who do not believe the word of God to be true are full of pride. Their actions and their tongues speak loudly against all that is Holy.

The humanist speaks loudly against the word of God, for their deeds are evil. They love darkness rather than light. Pride is their master, and destruction is their path.

The man or woman that uses God's name in vain is full of pride. They have no fear, because pride has blinded their minds. They misuse God's name day by day in the homes and at the workplace.

Pride keeps mankind busy on a Sunday morning so they do not attend Church.

Pride makes statements such as: "There are only hypocrites in Church", or "The only thing that Church wants is money", and "That Church thinks they are holier than thou".

The person that lives in the pride complex is at war with God. They resist the tug of the Holy Spirit to repent of their evil ways. Hell is full of people that lived in the pride complex. They are so proud that they will not admit that they were wrong.

James 4:6b "God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble."

Proud people do not change unless they are touched by the mighty hand of God.
