John 8:47 "He that is of God heareth God's words: you therefore hear them not, because you are not of God."

God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son to share the good news that we serve a living God; but instead man rejected the Son. Even after mankind killed His Son, Christ Jesus rose the third day because of His love for His creation: mankind. Christ Jesus now lives within the born-again believer's soul and spirit, leading them into all truth.

Mankind today doesn't want to hear the word "sinner". Instead they call sin some sort of disease. Mankind does not and will not, on a whole, live by every word of God. The Pharisees and scribes do not want to hear the word of God either. They reject Christ Jesus as their Saviour.

The sinner today has murder in his or her heart, because Christ Jesus' words have no place in them. They despise the word of God because they live without hope, trying their best to be good.

John 8:37 "I know that you are Abraham's seed; but you seek to kill Me, because My word hath no place in you."

Ephesians 2:12 "That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world"

The unsaved do not want to hear the promises of God, for the promises of God to them that perish are foolishness. To the Christian the promises of God are our life, and life abundantly.
