Daily Devotional for November 17

James 1:17 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."

Today is the greatest gift from God to you. You can enjoy His presence, or you can choose to ignore His presence and be depressed.

1 Chronicles 16:27 "Glory and honour are in His presence; strength and gladness are in His place"

Do you take each day as a brand new gift to be opened for your pleasure, or are you one of them that says, "Same old thing". Are you tired and bored with life? Then you have never come to the Lord Jesus Christ with any regularity and received His abundant life.

Have you heard people say they do not enjoy life? Have you heard people say, "Why did I ever get married?" Have you heard people say, "I haven't had a happy day in my life"? People who say such things have never been in the presence of God Almighty. They live in satan's independent nature (sin) having no fellowship with God.

We have a gift today and that is life.

Psalm 90:12 "So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom."

A wise man or woman realizes that today is a gift from God to be used to enjoy as they walk in love.

How are you going to use this gift today? To murmur, or to sing unto the Lord?
