Are
you His sheep?
Daily Devotional for

John 10:9 "I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture."
Christ Jesus calls us sheep, because sheep are never too smart. They are easily led astray. They eat the wrong stuff and drink water that is bad for them. They need the constant care of a good shepherd.
Christ Jesus is the Good Shepherd, leaving the Holy Bible behind for us to read in the Spirit. He wants us to learn doctrine daily: that is how to think with God in the details of life. How to think with God in categories. Example: Love. That's God's love. We would start at John 3:16, 1 Corinthians 13:1-13, Ephesians 5:2, 1 John 4:7, 1 John 4:21, Galatians 5:22, Jude 21, Deuteronomy 6:5, 1 Peter 4:8, and Romans 5:5.
I think you can figure out that there are different kinds of love; physical, family, affectionate, and unconditional love.
Unconditional love is God's love, and this is the kind of love God would like us to be filled with. The only way we can be filled with this kind of love is to be filled with the Holy Spirit. The only way we can be filled with the Holy Spirit is to ask Christ Jesus to come into our heart and to forgive us our sins.
Unconditional love is given to each believer the moment they accept Christ Jesus as their personal Saviour, Lord and Master.
Take time to learn the doctrine of love, for it will benefit your marriage, your personal life; also others will benefit by unconditional love.
Bible References (KJV)
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
1
Corinthians 13:1-13 "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of
angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all
knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and
have not love, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to
be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing.
Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is
not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked,
thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all
things.
Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; where
there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish
away.
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done
away.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a
child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in
part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is
love."
Ephesians 5:2 "And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour."
1 John 4:7 "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God."
1 John 4:21 "And this commandment have we from Him, That who loveth God love his brother also."
Galatians 5:22 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith"
Jude 21 "Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life."
Deuteronomy 6:5 "And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might."
1 Peter 4:8 "And above all these things have fervent love among yourselves: for love shall cover the multitude of sins."
Romans 5:5 "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us."
