Daily Devotional for November 28

Jeremiah 3:15 "And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding."

John 21:15-17 "So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou Me more than these? He saith unto Him, Yea, Lord; Thou knowest that I love Thee. He saith unto him, Feed My lambs.
He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou Me? He saith unto Him, Yea, Lord; Thou knowest that I love Thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed My sheep.
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou Me? Peter was grieved because He said unto him the third time, Lovest thou Me? And he said unto Him, Lord, Thou knowest all things; Thou knowest that I love Thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed My sheep."

The pastor-teacher is to feed the flock doctrine: the precise word of God.

One of the sweetest doctrines in the Bible is the doctrine of hearing. "He that hath ears to hear let him hear" Mark 4:9

Many people go to Church and hear nothing. Others go and hear little. Still others go to Church and hear with spiritual ears that are anointed. They mix faith with what they hear, while others do not.

Mark 4:24 "And He said unto them, Take heed what you hear; with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given."

Luke 8:18 "Take heed therefore how you hear"

Hearing God's words is very important to those that are good listeners. They feed upon the bread of life as they grow in grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Others have no capacity for hearing God's words. They end up not going to Church much because their hearing is being blocked by the flesh. They live in their natural state that rebels against God's word.

Hearing is a form of worship that leads the believer to a healthy spiritual life in Christ Jesus. They are glad when they go into the house of the Lord ready to hear from God.
