Weakness
Daily Devotional for November 29

Isaiah 57:15 "For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."

As we look at the structure of mankind, it's the strong, the smart, and the powerful that are lifted up to great heights. The proud and the ambitious are the ones the world system always recognizes as being right. The movie star and the news reporter are always in the limelight. This is what and who the world system thinks to be important.

The proud in heart will always say that they are self-sufficient and have need of no other's help. The proud will say only the weak need religion.

Well, the proud are right. We truly born-again Christians draw our strength when we are walking in the Spirit, filled with grace and knowledge in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 12:9 "And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

The Christian has the only true strength, which is drawn from being hid in Christ in God.

2 Corinthians 12:10 "Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."

The humble are in Christ Jesus.
