Anointing
Pastor's
Thoughts for November 2003
![]()
The anointing we need each day is to break the yoke of bondage to our flesh, that tries so hard to lead us into worldly thinking, speaking and living.
Without God's anointing, each moment of the day our Christianity becomes a slow death. We no longer have the freshness, the life, and the energy that would motivate us into the abundant life that is full of divine expectation. We dry up and wither away as a broken branch from a tree
John 15:6 "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned."
The anointing from God allows the Holy Spirit to move within our life to our innermost part of our being, producing love that grows into the reality of everlasting life.
We keep growing into Christ likeness as we walk in love, joy and peace.
Galatians 5:22 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith"
We are not troubled as others, for we are learning to trust in Christ Jesus all of the time.
Happy are we as the anointing brings freshness of God's breath daily, turning us into a living epistle of whom Christ is.
Now we are truly content in whatsoever state we are in, being motivated by the power of a loving, caring God to victory in a dark and wicked world.
1 John 5:19 "And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness."
