Daily Devotional for October 1

Revelation 22:17 "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take that water of life freely."

Too many Christians know Jesus Christ through their own wisdom.

Too many Christians know Jesus Christ through their feelings and emotions.

Too many Christians know Jesus Christ through learned behavior.

Psalm 51:17 "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise."

Psalm 34:18 "The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit."

The humble do not have a hearing problem.

The humble do not have a learning problem.

The humble will not walk in areas of disobedience.

The humble lives in the finished work of grace.

James 4:6 "But He giveth more grace. Wherefore He saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble."

Too much pride, too much ignorance, too much self. The net result is not coming to the one that loves you the most, Christ Jesus.
