Daily Devotional for October 4

Luke 6:35 "But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the children of the Highest: for He is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil."

Notice the Word of God says to love your enemies. You are not going to have one enemy, but many. The greatest gift anyone can give their enemies is to pray for them. Not judging them is the second greatest gift you can give to your enemies.

God Almighty was kind to us while we were yet sinners. He loved us unconditionally and drew us with loving kindness. He gave us grace and mercy each day of our lives while we were living in disobedience.

Are we to give our enemies anything less?

You will not pray for your enemies while living in the natural man, other than praying that your enemies would drop dead. The natural man has not the capacity to forgive their enemies. Instead, they harden their hearts against their enemies.

Always remember each day; God Almighty is kind to His enemies even though His enemies are unthankful and evil.

Is God's unconditional love living within your soul and spirit, or do you just brush off the fact that we are to love our enemies? Loving our enemies does not mean we have to take up what they are doing, but living always in an attitude of prayer for them is the correct attitude that pleases God.
