Daily Devotional for October 6

Mark 7:6 "The people honoureth Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me."

Many people may go to Church on a Sunday morning, but during the week live like a heathen. How do heathens live? By ignoring God and His word. They do not give God Almighty one thought, other than using His name in vain.

People can say all they want that they are a Christian, but their heart is full of the ways of the world. They think like the world. They live like the world. They dress like the world. Their speech is of the world. Their drink is of the world.

Matthew 7:21 "Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven."

Matthew 7:22 "Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out demons? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?"

Matthew 7:23 "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, you that work iniquity."

A Christian is to be Christ like in every detail of their lives.

The first step is to be born-again.
John 3:7 "Marvel not that I said unto thee, You must be born-again."
Christ Jesus said this, so if you do not know you must be born-again then you need to be. Ask Christ Jesus to come into your heart. Ask Him to forgive you of your sinful life now!
