Daily Devotional for October 13

Isaiah 44:20 "He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?"

A deceived heart will say, "There is no God", because that heart is believing in a lie. The father of a deceived heart is none other than the devil.

John 8:44 "You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

The deceived heart will sit in judgment of all born-again believers, while they live in wickedness. You may ask, "What is wickedness?" Simple. The works of the flesh.

Galatians 5:19-21 "Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

The one thing a deceived heart does not have is peace, for they live in wickedness.

Isaiah 48:22 "There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked."

No liar will enter the kingdom of God, because they have their spirit from the devil their father.

Revelation 22:15 "For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie."

A deceived heart is lost, because they choose to believe a lie and reject Christ Jesus as their Saviour.
