Daily Devotional for September 5

Galatians 5:15 "But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you be not consumed one of another."

How is your talk about others? Are you one that builds up, or are you one that destroys the character of others with your mouth? Are you one that always has something to say about everyone you know?

Do you keep tabs on everyone in your local Church and call it, "Have you heard the news about this one or that one?" Do you go to Church to find out the local gossip that you might have missed?

The only reason one should be going to Church each time the doors are opened is to learn of Christ Jesus. The Church is a place of healing broken hearts. A place of loving your brethren. A place of growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Church is a place where young people learn how to think in Christ Jesus. The Church is a place where you have fellowship suppers.

If you want to break the heart of God, just make your Church a place of gossip instead of a place of joy.

There is no room in the house of God for gossip, for gossip is a tool used by the devil to accuse the brethren night and day.

Revelation 12:10b "For the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night."

If you gossip, please repent to God at once; for you are sinning against the One that saved you.
