Don't look back
Daily Devotional for

Luke 9:62 "And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God."
Much too often a man will start a work of God, but after awhile because of trials of their faith start saying it must be a mistake. They start down the road of thinking about what they left to do the work of God. The next thing, they start living in the "what if" instead of every word of God.
Philippians 3:13 "Brethren, I count
not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things
which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before"
Paul the apostle was growing in grace and knowledge of our Lord, and came up
with the conclusion that it is much better to forget those things that are
behind, and press towards the mark of the high calling.
Looking back only causes defeat, for satan is the one who will cause one to doubt his call.
Christian, the call is always to go forward;
in soul winning, in walking in the Spirit, in victory in Christ Jesus. The
sound has gone out, Christian.
Luke 9:23 "If any man will come
after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me."
Self is always the one that wants to look back, or run home to mommy.
Galatians 5:16 "Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."
