Daily Devotional for September 17

2 Corinthians 9:8 "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work"

Thank God that we serve a God that is faithful and able to perform what He said He would.
Jude 24a "Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling"

Able = power to do so

In the realm of sports, the manager makes up a lineup that he believes will be able to defeat the opposition. God Almighty has given us the Holy Bible to study so that we will be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Over the years we have read or heard of men and women of God that have said in their lifetime they saw the hand of God at work in their lives. They have said with surety in their hearts, "God is truly able to perform what He started".
Philippians 1:6 "Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ"

Only the broken vessel will experience the work of God in their lives. Let the able God break your earthen vessel so His love can flow out to others.
Romans 4:21 "And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform."

Are you truly born-again? Has your earthen vessel been broken, or are you still the same old man, full of pride; unbroken and unrepented?
