Daily Devotional for September 21

Job 23:12 "Neither have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food."

While sharing Christ Jesus one on one, I have come across many people that say they are Christians. I ask them, "Do you go to Church"? Sometimes they answer, "A couple times a year". Then I ask them, "Have you only eaten a couple of times this year"? If you go to Church a couple times a year you do not know Christ Jesus personally. You are still spiritually dead and walk in darkness.

Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled."

The second Christ Jesus came into our hearts, He created a hunger and thirst in our soul and spirit. Before salvation, we thought going to Church once a week was good. Now Church is every day, as Christ Jesus teaches us the wonders of God.

Do you esteem His words above your daily food? Or are you one that still goes to Church once a week.

A Church that meets once a week is a Church that is playing Church. I am not trying to be unkind. In the book of Acts, the Church met daily.
Read Acts 2:46, 3:2, 5:42, 16:5, 17:11

We preach here in Millport, NY five to six times a week, and pray that it could be more. The Word of God is our necessary food.
