Do you walk in the light?
Daily Devotional for September 22

1 John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

Is Christ Jesus truly your Lord and Saviour? When is the last time you shared the gospel with a lost soul? Are you loving the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength?

We ask questions for one purpose - so it will make you think.

To walk in the light is to walk in love towards the lost and towards the believer. To walk in the light is to be in love with life. You see the stars, and know they were created for you. You see the sun and the moon and say, "Thanks" to the Lord. You hold a child in your arms and know he or she has been created by the Lord. You say, "Thank you, God Almighty" for your wife which is one with you.

To walk in the light is to esteem the word of God above the details of life. You allow the Lord to be the Lord of the details of life, saying, "The battle is the Lord's".

To walk in the light love grows to a higher height. You see people through the eyes of Christ Jesus as valuable. You want to have fellowship with them, sharing the love of God.

To walk in the light all negativity vanishes away and is replaced with joy that floods our soul and spirit.
