Daily Devotional for September 29

Psalm 12:1-4 "Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. They speak vanity every one with his neighbor: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: who have said, With our tongue we shall prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?"

A double heart is to have a double standard, double mind, double speech, and a double way.

James 1:8 "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways."
This is a true description of all that walk in the flesh. One minute you act like this, and turn around and act like that the next minute.

The flesh can be trusted about as far as a mad dog. Most people will walk continuously in the flesh with their double standard. They choose who they like, and pretend to like others, but meanwhile they care nothing about any one but themselves.

Christ said, "The flesh profiteth nothing" in John 6:63
The flesh wants nothing to do with Christ Jesus as Saviour, but will enjoy religions that are false.

The flesh will say many times, "There is no God". The Bible calls them fools.

Psalm 14:1 "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good."
