God's Love
Pastor's Thoughts for September 2003

1 John 2:5 "But whoso keepeth His word, in him verily is the love of God perfected"

Love as light has no room for any kind of negative thoughts that would tear apart fellowship around the cross of Christ Jesus. Love is a gift from the Spirit of God even if it gets walked upon, for love is drawing all of it's strength from heaven above.

Love is always looking to be a help in all kinds of situations. Love has it's rewards as it hands out hope in basketfuls of mercy.

Love honours and obeys all the truths that are written down in the word of God. Love is saying, "Please teach us to pray in the power of the Spirit for the sake of the body of Christ Jesus, and our loved ones".

Love has fun where it is at, for it doesn't need to go somewhere else to be content.

Love is at work in all marriages, making two opposites to be one. Love is what dreams are made of as one learns that "greater is He that's in me than he that is in the world" 1 John 4:4

When a child of God learns that love is the foundation to build on, they take steps of faith and grace towards their holy calling; knowing well that "all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose" Romans 8:28

One more thought in love. It adds one more act of mercy which is always rejoicing against judgment.

Love is the whole of Christianity, for it brings in all the other characteristics of the almighty God working His will in us. Without God's love the whole human race is unstable at it's best, and in it's worst state war and killings are part of it's life. Love will always go the extra mile to cover one that has fallen.
